Paul Rowan brings over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services Sector.
His extensive experience in the financial services sector, particularly within the asset management sector, equips him to serve the strategic needs of RowanOak Private Wealth Counsel and its clients, especially as it pertains to business strategy, business governance, and the design of asset management programs.
Prior to founding RowanOak Private Wealth Counsel, Paul worked on Bay Street in the institutional bond trading industry for five years. In 1999, he started his own investment counselling practice under the entrepreneurial wealth management firm of Dundee Wealth (now HollisWealth®, a division of Industrial Alliance Securities Inc.), run by legendary Canadian investor Ned Goodman.
Paul quickly grew his new business through the firm belief that tax, estate, financial and cash flow planning are equally important as the investment choices one makes. Pioneering this integration of wealth planning was new for its time and has been at the corner stone of RowanOak’s success.
Through his highly informative tax and estate planning seminars, Paul has taught well over 3, 000 individuals about tax savings, estate preservation and advanced wealth management techniques and is highly respected as a financial educator throughout the cities of Mississauga, Oakville and Burlington.
Paul was to become the youngest member of the President Club, bestowed on Dundee Wealth’s top fifty advisors. Soon after, RowanOak reached the Chairman Club member status, bestowed on the firms’ top ten wealth management offices in the country.
Paul is a key member of the Estate Planning Council of Halton (EPOCH), an elite group of specialists in the areas of tax, estate, law, accounting and investment management. EPOCH meets once a month to exchange best practices, solutions and ideas on the ever changing financial landscape.
Paul and his wife Tracy are kept busy with their three children Pierce, Tyson and Nicole, who all play Rep Hockey. They make their home in Oakville, Ontario.
